Anthony C. Ferrante struck gold with his franchise, Sharknado. The series spawned five sequels, with a seventh in preparation. Instead of another sequel, it will be a prequel titled Origins of Sharknado, with Ferrante back at the helm.
However, if you can’t wait for the last Sharknado movie, iHorror has your solution. The Father of Sharks has another film just released; Water park shark.

The new film follows in the same vein as the classic that made Ferrante a household name. However, sharks are not raining on Los Angeles and other major metropolitan cities. Great Whites are now roaming free at a Cape Cod water park. And this time, they are transferred!
Shark in the pool!
Summer is just beginning at Wicked Waves Water Park in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. For washed-up football player Austin Dillard (Matthew Dame), his return home in search of a job promises to be bleak. Luckily for him, his old high school football coach gives him a second chance as a lifeguard at Wicked Waves. Unfortunately for Dillard, kids peeing in the pool will be the least of his problems this season.
Peyton (Chelsea Gilson), Dillard’s old high school flame, is Summer Town’s new police chief. Having taken over from her father, she takes her job very seriously. So when a mutated shark is discovered in the water park, she makes it her mission to investigate the event and protect its citizens.

Little does Peyton know, she’s had more than she could chew in this investigation. If she wants to figure out how these mutated sharks got into the water park and killed swimmers, she’ll have to recruit help from the mismatched lifeguard staff on duty.

It perhaps seemed impossible to overcome the madness of Sharknado, but Ferrante found a way. The plot is simple, but is filled with heartbreakingly absurd humor. There are also plenty of callbacks to the 1975 classic that started it all, Jaws. But instead of being afraid of going to the ocean, you should now also be afraid of going to the swimming pool!

From outrageous shark attacks to actors delivering a hilarious storyline that they play straight, it’s an equation that equals horror-comedy gold.
